Welcome to Seaview Farm

Frank and Julia sitting on a large rock in the Seaview Farm garden, smiling at the camera.

Situated near the township of St Marys on the North East Coast of Tasmania, Seaview Farm is a 150-hectare property first settled in 1870.  Since 2002, our main endeavour has been transforming a somewhat run-down property - albeit one of exceptional natural potential - by adding workable infrastructure, upgrading buildings, improving the soil, and building fences.  All of this has been enhanced by the addition of two acres of landscaped gardens.

Frank has mainly concentrated on the farm.  His passion lies in nutrition farming, the importance of minerals, and a strong belief that we should always put back what we take out.  Through this approach, he has created a chemical-free environment for both the livestock and the blueberries.

Julia’s passion is the garden.  Slowly created over the years, the two-acre space is a mix of native and exotic plants.  One of the greatest joys has been seeing the return of a wide variety of native birds, drawn to the many flowering species that thrive here.

We look forward to your visit and hope that Seaview will be a memorable experience.

Local Attractions

Seaview Farm is centrally located for exploring many of the East Coast’s attractions.

Locally there is a walk to the top of the South Sister – one of the two extinct volcanic cores that form the backdrop to Seaview Farm – offering spectacular views.

Some further afield are the Winnifred Curtis Reserve at Scamander, the stunning Bay of Fires to the north east, and to the south the iconic Freycinet National Park.

Inland you can find Evercreech Forest Reserve and the beautiful Mathinna Falls.

As well as the above, a scenic 1.5 hour drive takes you to Pyengana. Here you can visit the dairy where the cows wander in to milk themselves. A short trip further along this road are the magnificent St Columba falls reached via a ten minute walk through a lush mini rain forest.
